Darin Templet, a native of Luling, Louisiana, is a graduate of Hahnville High School and Nicholls State University and is a math and special education teacher at Rio Rancho High School. When not writing, Darin enjoys several hobbies, including amateur astronomy and reenacting and living history. He is a current member of the Rio Rancho Astronomical Society and a former member of both the Ponchartrain Astronomical Society and the Baton Rouge Astronomical Society.

Darin starting writing because in his own words, he got tired of waiting for the stories he wanted to read to be published. His favorite genres are science fiction and fantasy. He also enjoys good mysteries and as well any story that features intriguing characters. When not teaching or writing, Darin enjoys reading and watching science fiction, historical drama, history, and science documentaries. He is an avid Law and Order and The Big Bang Theory fan, as well as a fan of The Vampire Diaries, The Originals, and Legacies. The 1979 version of Dracula starring Frank Langella is his favorite vampire movie. His favorite spy thrillers are the James Bond and Jack Ryan sereies, and he is also a fan of Mission Impossible.

Darin enjoys classical, rock, and ‘80’s music and presently lives in Rio Rancho, New Mexico with his wife Melanie.
